Didn’t I tell you about his singing “The Beatles”! Now his son wishes to form a band with his friends. For their generation, social media is the fulfiller to their dreams!
Are you looking up to the sky with hopes in your eyes to make your band popular! It’s time now you turn your eyes on your very own Facebook/Twitter account to fruit your dreams! All you need is a slight conversion from your ‘profile’ to a ‘fan page’. Spread the vibes all around through social media.

1. Tap the ‘Welcome Tab”
Make your page inviting and attractive! Use the ‘Welcome Tab’ to make your page so catchy that they ‘like’ it on their very first visit. Post a rocking picture to reveal that rock-star side of you!
2. Make chime with your blogs
Blog a lot! Author your band; make a song describing your own members. You can come in the spotlight by just some clicks! The RSS app is quite useful here. You can blog and bring it to your personal Facebook/Twitter page; not by the copy-paste formula though. In fact, your blogs would appear as they are in the blog site. By blogging and describing your band members and the kind of music you play, you can catch the desired eyes. It could be a compelling effort for the people to “like” your page. What are you waiting for! Go and create a boomerang!
3. Jive and share
Record your recent performances (be it staged or not) and upload them on your networking page. You can use Youtube to upload your videos and then show them what your band has got! Make use of the Facebook multi-video app to bring out what is not revealed so far. Let your videos become Pied Piper. Let them dance on your tunes. Those who have not joined you yet would absolutely love to shake a leg on your drums!
4. Keep them updated
Your invites and updates decide 60% of the crowd attending your live show. You can literally count heads in your RSVP list of number of “attending”, “may be attending” and know the approx crowd for your show. Surveys show that 85% of the people are more akin to read up the content updated in their profiles than those who look out for pamphlets and newspapers. The results are enough for you to know what works better and how!
5. Quiz, poll, debate
Arrest their attention! Create quizzes, polls and games and engage your fans. You could also create a game exclusively for your page, connected to the kind of music you play. Post their scores and achievements on their walls, fascinating the others too (who are not your fans). Apart from your music, make them crazy about the apps you’ve uploaded on your page.
