The other day, I got a chance to acquaint myself with one of the most contemporary writers of India. His works are a treat to read! His fictions have an air of mysticism and they produce a mesmerizing effect upon the reader. He’s been called a “fascinating and a seductive writer” by his fans His Facebook fan page is bombarded with comments and appreciations after every launch. However, he doesn’t seem to use many apps. Hence, his site is often more visited than his Facebook page.
Nevertheless, if your works have the capacity to stupefy the readers and you wish to approach the cluster of interested people then definitely, your wait is over! Your Godot is here: Social media. Your website cannot suffice the purpose of reaching out to the masses; it has to be in an interactive and conversational way! Your readers can’t comment on your pictures and read your blogs (thus knowing you personally) at the same place. But social media provides you with all of it! You can update yourself in your status, comment back to your readers, and understand them better by quizzing them and many more!
This might appear a more technical job, but it only appears to be so! It’s an easy and convenient, and conducive for connecting with the world. You’re a writer by soul, not by compulsion, of course! You write apart from your works, right! Your blogs, hence, belong to a more personal space. They reflect what you think, you believe personally. Nevertheless, your works picture your beliefs but a thorough personal account is essential to develop a connection with your readers. You can use the RSS tab to bring your blogs live to your page. Your readers would comment and you can respond to their queries and comments. Engage yourself and your readers for a better bond.
3. Make available your critiques
Your critical appreciations over others’ works are important! Now you rarely read Scribd documents are available on your very page. Let your essays be used and read by your fans. Help students out on their social networking site, also make your page popular among the people. Invite comments and opinions on your essays. Develop and learn with your fans.
4. Quiz them!

You can conduct polls and discussion to know your fans expectations. An intelligent author would always know his reader expectations and the current social scenario to write well. It’s difficult to keep in touch with your fans in both your networking accounts. It’s easy to manage both at the same click. Your updates, your latest events and all you want to share can appear on both your pages. It’s hitting two targets with one arrow!

The stillness of the words on a page is dull and boring. You have a way out! You can put in videos and bring life to your words! Videos are always more electrifying than still words.
